SECURITY
No security warnings are in effect at this time,
however your personal attention to security is always appropriate.
Make our homes more secure by reporting crime and suspicious activities to
the police.
Get to know your neighbors so that you know who belongs in the community and who
doesn't.
- Does your door have a dead bolt and wide-angle viewer?

- Sliding glass doors should be secured with a wooden rod or metal brace in
the track to prevent it from opening. Also, you can drill a hole through
a corner of the two frames and insert a large nail or metal pin to
prevent the doors from sliding. Be sure
you can remove it easily in case of emergency so that you can exit. You
can also install screws in the upper track to prevent the doors being lifted
out of the track.

- Check on elderly neighbors. Sit down for a talk once in awhile to be sure they are not being preyed upon by
unscrupulous strangers.
